Come biking! OSAT offers bicycling rides for all level of riders throughout the riding season. OSATers in the past have enjoyed sponsored rides such as the Trek Tri-Island, weekly OSAT rides around the sound, and mountain bike rides to the Sunday Tiger Mt. meeting and other places. Its a great way to get out and enjoy the Great Northwest while meeting others in sobriety.
Cycle Sundays: Starting in April, OSAT offers bike rides each Sunday usually starting around noon, leaving from Tracy Owens Log boom Park in Kenmore. Some days other starting places and times are offered and announcements go out over the OSAT member's email system regarding these typese of changes in the schedule. Other rides include rides out to the bridge deck of I-90 for the Blue Angels during the SeaFair Weekend and whatever else might come up during the year. The Cycle Sunday season ends with the annual finally, Cycle to the Summit.
Cycle to the Summit: Cycle to the Summit is the Cycle Sundays finally event. It is a Metric Century ride from the Tiger Mt. trail head (exit 20 off I-90) to the summit at Snoqualmie Pass and back, following I-90 all the way. This is a fully supported ride and usually occurs at the end of August. More details for the next Cycle to the Summit event will be coming soon includnig dates, times, and registration information.
Trek Tri-Island: Riders in past years have enjoyed the Trek Tri-Island with OSAT and this year was no exception. There were 9 members on the OSAT team this year and everyone had a blast. The Trek Tri-Island is put on by the American Lung Association and it is one of the most well supported, scenic, and rewarding rides Washington State has to offer. Since 2000, Team OSAT was present each year on the Trek and we're always looking for a larger crowd. Starting in Seattle, the Trek is a three day ride that travels through the beautiful areas of Bainbridge, Port Townsend, Keystone, Anacortez, Orcas Island, Sydney, and ends up at Victoria, Canada, where we take the Victoria Clipper back to Seattle. It really is a blast!
Come join us next season. More information can be seen on the ALA Website.
