12-Step Meetings

OSAT has two weekly AA meetings on Tiger Mountain, and is beginning a NEW beach bonfire meeting at Golden Gardens.

Golden Gardens - Shilshole Bay

A new OSAT-AA meeting has started at Golden Gardens. Both current members and new folks are encouraged to come support this new meeting at a gorgeous site looking across Puget Sound at the Olympics and the sunset.   Come early and enjoy pre-meeting activites.   Bring wood to support the bonfire.

Time:

Tuesday Nights at 8:30 PM

Location:

On the beach at Golden Gardens Park  on Shilshole Bay in Seattle. We will attempt to get a fire pit for the meeting.  Please contact Doug, Dave or Rick for more details. View a Map of Golden Gardens Park.  Note:  Like the Thursday night Tiger meeting, this is tentatively planned for the Daylight Savings Time portion of the year only, although a group consciousness will be taken in October regarding a final decision.

Tiger Mountain

Although the Sunday morning meetings continue throughout the year, the Thursday Night Meetings run during Daylight Savings Time only.  A flyer describing this meeting is available from the psypc.org web site.

Time:

Thursday Nights at 7:00 PM & Sunday Mornings at 10:00 AM

Location:

The Tiger Mountain Trailhead is on the south (right) side of the High Point Exit, Exit 20 (first exit east of Issaquah) off I-90.  Make a reverse U-turn onto the road parallel with the Interstate.  Park as close as possible to the west end of the road to use the cable line trail or in the upper parking lot to use the regular trail (recommended for first-timers).
NOTE: Newcomers should not try to find this meeting alone.  We meet in the trees just below the summit of West Tiger 3.  The hike gains 2,000 in only about 3 miles.  Bring water, warm clothes, and a flashlight

If you have hiking experience and feel you can get to the meeting on your own, here is a West Tiger Trails Map and the Summitpost.org description of the trails.  If you do not have such experience but would like to attend, please contact one of the meeting leaders using the links below for further information and help getting to the meeting.

NOTE:   The Tiger Mountain Thursday Night Meeting only occurs during that part of the year when Washington State observes Daylight Savings Time (beginning of April to the end of October, respectively--Summer Time). The Thursday meeting is suspended during Standard Time (end of October thru the beginning of April--Winter Time). Please see the Calendar for the specific starting and ending date of the Thursday night meetings.

NOTE:
The OSAT club and the OSAT group of Alcoholics Anonymous are two different and separate entities and should not be thought of as the same, although many members of one also belong to the other. OSAT the club is intended for friends and members of 12-step programs but does not require that members also be members of recovery groups. We only ask that all members follow our traditions while participating in our events.
