In Memoriam - David Brown

It is with a great deal of regret and sadness that we announce the death of David ("Dave") Brown Sunday August 15. Dave B rappeling

Dave was among the original OSAT members in 1991.  He and Teresa played important roles in the establishment and development of the organization.  Dave was on the original OSAT Board, and is one of very few to have served two different terms on the BOTS.  He and Teresa both served the club in many other formal roles and through informal support.   Most recently Dave was involved in the committee that redesigned the OSAT web site. Dave and Teresa were stalwart members of the early Lake 22 and subsequent Carkeek Park OSAT-AA meetings.  They often shared colorful and entertaining reports of their frequent world travels at OSAT club meetings.  Dave died on Tiger Mountain on his way to the Sunday OSAT meeting.

A celebration of David's life occurred August 21st Solie Funeral Home, and an online tribute and condolence page is available through Solie's web site.  In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family asked that donations be made to King County Search and Rescue Association.  His obituary and more tributes to Dave can be found on a legacy guest book from the Everett Herald

If you would like to share a permanent recollection about Dave with your friends in OSAT, please consider offering a story to the OSAT Yodel.
